Coagulation and thrombosis
Platelet count is shown separately because platelet quantity is not a direct measurement of hypercoagulability. No artificial hypercoagulability percentage is used.
Coagulation timeline
Interpretive guardrail: platelet count tells us how many platelets are circulating. VCM and other coagulation tests address clot formation and clot breakdown. A high platelet count does not equal a quantified degree of hypercoagulability.
